Effective October 21, 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy covers every app published by FoldingDuo (Gami, Clamshell and any app we add later), and this website. The short version: we don't have accounts, ads or tracking, and what you make in our apps stays on your device.
Who we are
FoldingDuo (“we”, “us”) makes apps for iPhone and iPad, designed for the foldable iPhone Duo. We are responsible for the information described in this policy.
What we don't do
- We don't ask you to create an account or give us your name, email or phone number to use our apps.
- We don't show ads and don't share or sell your information to advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't use third-party analytics in our apps.
Information that stays on your device
Our apps save your progress, settings and anything you create or import (for example game progress, saved shapes, save files) in the app's own storage on your device. We can't see it. It's removed when you delete the app. If you use iCloud or device backups, Apple may include this data in your backup under Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases
In-app purchases and tips are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. To unlock what you bought and restore it on your other devices, our apps use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous identifier created on your device, the purchase receipt from Apple (which products you bought and when), and basic technical information such as app version, device model, operating system, country/storefront and IP address. This is used only to provide and verify purchases, prevent fraud and give us aggregate sales figures. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf and may store it in the United States.
Notifications
Some apps can send you reminders or let you know about a gift. These are local notifications scheduled on your device; no push service or server is involved. They only appear if you allow notifications, and you can turn them off in the app's settings or in iOS Settings.
Microphone and other permissions
If an app asks for a permission such as the microphone, it's only for the feature described in the prompt. Audio is processed live on your device and is never recorded, stored or sent to us. You can change permissions any time in iOS Settings.
Crash reports and support emails
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash and performance reports. If you email us, we use your email and what you send only to reply, and delete it when it's no longer needed.
This website
This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for a short time for security and reliability.
App by app
Gami
- Game progress and settings (stars, hints, paper and table choices, saved shapes) — so you can pick up where you left off. Stored only on your device.
- Purchases (the full game and hint packs) — to unlock what you bought and restore it on another device. Handled by Apple; verified through RevenueCat with a random, anonymous ID.
- Reminder notifications — optional reminders and gifts, if you allow notifications. Scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to a server.
Clamshell
- Games, saves and save states you add — to play and resume them. Stored only on your device; never uploaded.
- Microphone audio (only if a game asks and you allow it) — some games listen to the microphone. Processed live on your device; never recorded or sent anywhere.
- Tips (optional) — to support development. Handled by Apple; verified through RevenueCat with a random, anonymous ID.
Children
Our apps are suitable for all ages and don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age where you live). Purchases go through Apple, where Ask to Buy and Screen Time controls apply.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the use of information about you. Because we don't hold accounts, almost everything is already under your control on your device. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, email us and we'll help — we may need your anonymous app user ID, which we can tell you how to find. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Legal basis (EU/UK)
We process purchase information to perform our contract with you (giving you what you bought) and for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and understanding sales. We process support emails to answer you.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll mention it in the app's release notes.
