Clamshell
A free, open-source emulator for a classic dual-screen handheld.
Hold the iPhone Duo half-folded and it becomes a clamshell: the top screen above the fold, the touch screen below. Clamshell is free and open source (GPLv3), built natively in Swift on the melonDS core. It includes no games, BIOS or firmware — it boots with the free FreeBIOS replacement and plays homebrew or games you have the right to use.

A layout for every posture
Half-folded, fully open (stacked or side by side) and closed on the cover screen.
Touch, Pencil and controllers
Touch and Apple Pencil on the touch screen, on-screen controls, game controllers and keyboards.

Battery saves, save states, and Continue to pick up exactly where you left off.
Fold to close the lid
Microphone or a “blow” button, rumble haptics, and folding the phone shut to sleep the game.
Privacy at a glance

- Microphone audio (only if a game asks and you allow it). Processed live on your device; never recorded or sent anywhere.
